1991 BMW 3-Series Description

Up for auction is my 1991 BMW 325IC convertible. As you can see from the pics, it is a beautiful metallic green with a tan leather interior and thick black German fabric convertible top. It has an automatic transmission and is fully loaded, with working heated sport seats, functional air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, etc. I added a Kenwood blue tooth/iphone/Pandora stereo, which sounds great with the factory speakers (it comes with the factory stereo, which needs a code that I don't have). The convertible top has been converted to manual operation, as the motors in these tops are notorious for getting out of synch and breaking the convertible top mechanism. It is a great "nice days and weekends" fun car that you can use and enjoy. Although I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country, it is not a car that i would want to use as a daily driver. It runs and drives great, easily cruising on the highway at 75+ mph. With the windows up and the top down, there is surprisingly little wind buffeting. E30s have steadily been rising in value and it gets many positive comments wherever I go with it - so many people have stories of having owned these cars at one point in their lives. As for cosmetics, in all candor, the pics make the car look nicer than it is in person. Consistent with having 165,000 miles, it is a very nice driver-level car, but not a show car by any means. It looks great from 10 feet away, but upon closer inspection, you can see some light pitting on the lower front spoiler, some clear coat lifting on the rear decklid, a couple very small tears (smaller than the size of a dime) on the convertible top and some slight discoloration on the plastic rear window. Also, I had the front fenders and hood and rear quarter panels resprayed to fix some dings on the fenders and rear quarters and clear coat lifting on the front hood and, while the paint color match between those panels and the doors is quite good, it's not perfect, consistent with the doors having 29 year old paint. As a result, I would strongly prefer a buyer who can come see the car before buying it, as I wouldn't want there to be any disappointments. The car is in Greenwich, CT (45 minutes northeast of NYC),The car came with a three inch thick stack of service receipts and clearly has been well maintained throughout its life. That has continued to be true for me.So why am I selling it? It was something of an impulse buy for me and I already have a two door convertible (the 1991 Porsche 911 visible in one of the pics) and don't really need two convertibles. As I result, I am ready for it to go on to the next owner. As for me, I am a corporate lawyer who lives in Greenwich, CT. As you can see, I have perfect feedback and do my best to describe things that I sell on ebay accurately. I am very much a car enthusiast and know and love these older cars.Payment is by cash upon pickup or cleared wire transfer of funds only. I am not interested in any trades, as I already have too many cars.I am happy to answer any questions. Contact me for a "BUY IT NOW" price. Thanks for your interest.
