Up for sale is my 1985 BMW 524td. This car is an automatic and the very rare turbo diesel engine. It hurts me to put this car up for sale as I want to keep it forever, however too many cars + bills is forcing me to let go of one. I have put a lot of money and effort into this car and it very much runs and drives. This was one of the first turbo diesel BMWs ever produced in the USA. They didn't start bringing the turbo diesels in the USA again until the late 2000's. Has 268k miles on the odometer but runs excellent. Being a diesel this thing is just getting broken in anyways. Clean title in hand.

This car has spent its whole life in Arizona (hence the faded paint) I bought it from a gentleman who had it shipped here and it has never seen any snow or salt ever. There's not a spec of rust on this car. The interior is in very nice shape, there are no tears in the seats and everything works as it should. Power locks, seats, windows, sunroof, etc. A/C was just converted over to R134a so it blows ice cold.

Things done in the last few months:

Brand new tires (less than 500 miles on them)
New dashboard (original had cracks from Arizona sun - picture does not show new dash)
New windshield
New pulleys and belts
Comes with case of diesel fuel additive (to boost sulfer - what the older diesels run on)

Things it needs:

Needs inspection since I just got a new windshield but can be inspected before sale
Paint (from fading - if you care about the aesthetics)
Turn signal switch - 75 dollars from BMW, issue is high beams come on with low beams unless you hold stick back a little bit

Driver's side key hole doesn't lock/unlock doors but it can be done on passenger side fine.

Prefer local pick up. Can be shipped at buyers time and expense.
