I didnt mention that the tail lights are new old stock from a early 60's triumph. The fender stand offs were custom made to accomodate the lights. They look amazing! there are no turn signals on the car. I chose to leave them off, and I resort to hand signaling if the local constabulary is around.
On May-21-18 at 07:57:58 PDT, seller added the following information:I tried to incorporate as much French detail on this Bugatti replica as possible. Since after all, Bugattis were made in France. To this end there are Marchal driving lights and Marchal like head lights. There is also a super rare1920's era French Saint Christophe badge on the dash above the ignition switch. Bugatti badging can be found on the dash and on the front of the radiator. Perhaps best of all is the caution /warning sign on the bonnet opening that reads"DANGER: MADE IN FRANCE"
I will post some additional pics to show these details.
Many viewers have asked about the exhaust header. It is NOT just bolted to to the side of the bonnet. Instead, it actually runs through the side of the car, giving the appearance of actually being connected to an engine inside. Interesting historical note: True Bugattis of this era were 2 liter eight cylnder cars in a straight 8 configuration. I gave a lot of thought to making an eight cylnder header in a smaller diameter, but the lage 4 cylnder looked a lot better to my eye. Maybe the next one I build will be differernt. Thanks for so many questions about this detail.
