1983 Buick Riviera Convertible Garaged and driven 400 miles since 2002
1983 Buick Riviera Description
The late owner of this vehicle purchased it in 2002, added a few hundred miles to it on weekends over the next few years, but was left, having not been run, in the garage for the last five years. A new battery was put in two weeks ago, it was started, driven a mile to Jiffy Lube to change the oil, transmission fluid, etc, and then re-garaged. You can see the engine run at https://youtu.be/CAdVhPUnR7I. At 149,000 miles, prorated over its life, it has only had 4,515 miles per year. Between 1983 and its purchase in 2002, it still only had 7,842 miles accrue per year, so certainly a low mileage car given its age. The leather interior is in good condition, per the photos, with less wear than you would expect for its age. The top needs replacing. The trunk appears to have never had anything stored in it other than the tonneau cover for the top. The 1983 Buick Riviera was the Indy 500 pace car of that year. Along with the car is a framed print that belonged to the owner of the actual pace car. There is no rust visible to normal inspection. Sold as is.
