1956 Buick Roadmaster Description
The second owner purchased it from the original owner in 1968, he oldest son was driving the Buick to high school in 1970 and experienced a small engine fire. The Buick was towed home and parked in the garage, he owner was able to rewire the engine compartment and replaced the carburator and actually got the Buick running again, ut for some reason lost interest. So the Buick Roadmaster sat parked in the garage in 1970 and was removed in late 2014 sometime after the owner passed away. The original paint is not pretty, ut the body is in amazing condition, he hood was sitting off the car since 1970, o it does have some surface rust. There is very slight amount of damage to the right passenger door. The left rear bumper end has some rust, o it will need to be replaced. The body has no rust holes, here is a metal repair to left dog leg. The trunk has the original trunk lining and the original trunk floor is in good condition. The floors are solid and the frame is in good condition. The Buick is 100 percent complete and comes with a few extra parts in the trunk. I have the keys and title. The original interior seats have had clear plastic covers since 1956 when it left the dealership, included a picture of the condition of the upholstery under the plastic seat covers. The original carpet has faded over the years, hich could be dyed back to the original color. The original headliner and sunvisors are in good condition. The original door panels are in fair to excellent condition. The bumpers and chrome need to be replated. The original 322 Nail Head 4 bbl engine does turn over with a battery. It has a automatic transmission, ower steering, ower brakes, ower windows, ower seat, m radio, ower antenna and factory dual exhaust. The glass is in excellent condition and the interior is dry. I have kept it under a rain proof car cover since I have owned it. The tires are bias ply and were installed prior to 1970. There is a $2,000 Pay Pal Deposit due within 48 hours and the remainder must be paid with in seven days. I am willing to sell to World Wide Buyers. I will email additional pictures to those who are serious bidders. I am not in a rush to sell the Buick, lease bid to win!
