Up for sale is a very well preserved example of the first year the Grand National made it's debue with a turbocharged engine.this was the car that started it all. This was the foundationthat evolvedto the later intercooled versions and then the 547 corvette killing GNX's in later years. 2000 of the 1984 GNs were produced. Reportedly around 200 of them had the CC1 hatch roof option. This car is a survivor of it's time. I purchased it from a family friend's small car collection. When I got the car it's registration hadn't been renewed since 2011. It wasmainly taken to car shows a few times a year. It was startedonce a week and ranso the fuelsystemwas never an issue.A few items I addressed right away are as follows;
Battery, Plugs, Wires, Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Hood Struts,Changed andChecked all Fluids, Front Pads, Rear Drums(still have factory aluminum).
I sent the digital dashout to Casper's Electronics and had it gone through and upgraded with the 199 mphchip. I also replaced the factory Vector style 15" factory wheels which will be included with car.The wheels are GM factory 16" non dimple (pre 88 I believe) off aGTA. 2 fronts and 2 rears with the factory spacers.
The car is solid and rust free. The t-top "t bar", quarter windows, rockers, quarters, wheel wells, allare clean and invery nice shape.The car's paint is Driver quality. Thepaint on the hoodhas some cracking from the heat. Both doors have some dings, and a little corrosion on passenger door bottom. The car is very straight and panels are allaligned properly.The car runs anddrives very well. Idles nice, no misfires, shifts through all gears, drives down the road very smooth with plenty of power. The interior is in Amazing original condition!! No rips or stains in the oneyear run"Lear Siegler" edition seats. Carpet, headliner, interior plastics are near perfect condition. Door panels, center console, dash are all very well preserved. Once you see this car in person youwill know it spent most of it's days inside. Askyourself," Do I want an all original, factory correct, very low production80'sAmerican icon?"
