1985 Buick LeSabre Collector's Edition Description

1985 Buick LeSabre Collector's EditionNeeds Transmission Work
I ran across this LeSabre that had been sitting for a good while. I make a hobby of these old Buicks and I bought it to use for a parts donor car for my other LeSabres. It ran and rode so good I decided to keep it on the road. I had the oil changed, installed a good battery, checked all the fluids, had it greased and fixed a few small things. It became my daily driver.
After about a month, the transmission started to slip when shifting into 2nd gear and now it won't shift into second at all. When the speed is high enough (around 20 MPH), it will shift into 3d and then into 4th. It does fine on the highway. My transmission man says it will require a complete rebuild. At my age, I can no longer repair or replace a transmission and I have other cars to drive.
It runs good and rides good. It is well equipped with options that work including the AC. It has good tires.
It is a solid rust free southern car. The interioris in very good condition. Both bumpers aresolid and the chrome is good.
Defects:
The lady that owned it scraped a tree on thepassenger sideand damaged thedoor and front fender.
It needs bumper fillers.
There are cracks in the vinyl top.
The power antenna does not work.
It needs exhaust work.
Transmission (as described)
I would like to sell the car as it sits. If someone knows how to work on transmissions, it could be a good car for years to come. If I can't find abuyer, I will use it as a parts donor car.
