1970 Buick Skylark Description

1970 BUICK SKYLARK GS455 STAGE 1 TRIBUTE

REAL 455 STAGE 1 ENGINE, TH400 A/T AND SUSPENSION

Approx 6,500 miles since frame off restored

Prior owner had a real GS 455 Stage 1 hardtop that was destroyed when a tree fell on it. At the time he had this convertible apart and in process of restoration so he decided to transplant all GS parts to this car, including the hood, doors, deck lid, boxed control arms, sway bars, engine, transmission, rear end plus more. New floor pans and trunk pan. All bright trim removed and polished. Any needed new parts were bought as new old stock OEM or high quality reproductions. NOS parts include the emblems, grille, trim, headlight surrounds, door handles and one of the bumpers. Brakes and suspension rebuilt. New dash wiring harness.

Frame was blasted and painted. Fit and finish of panels is very good. Repainted with 6 coats of color and 6 coats of clear. New top installed. New top motor, hydraulic pistons and lines in 2017. New Buick logo repro floor mats.

New exhaust and headers, Remflex header gaskets. Flow Kool water pump and flex fan, Powermaster alternator, rebuilt power steering box and pump, TA Perfomance mini starter, TA Performance aluminum valve covers. Edelbrock B4B intake manifold, original rebuilt Rochester quadrajet carb.

Brakes and suspension rebuilt. New dash wiring harness. Speedhut gauges installed 2017. Bilstein shocks, Eibach lowering springs (approx 1.5ā€ drop).

Original parts included: valve covers, water pump, fan and fan clutch, gauges, springs.

Note: convert top fits better than in picture, it is not that wrinkled, top had been down for 3 days immediately prior to pictures being taken
