This auction is for my 1955 Buick Super. I bought the car about 4 years ago as a donor for my 1955 Buick Century. I’m selling it because the reality is I am never going to do anything with it. The car is too nice to part out, so I never touched it. It has not run since the early 1970’s, and I haven’t tried to start it. Assume everything needs to be rebuilt… including the Dynaflow.
The buy it now price reflects what a complete factory air conditioning system would cost. This is the same system used in 53-56 Buick, and Cadillac (with minorvariances between the years and divisions). I'll entertain realistic offers only... The car in parts is worth more than the asking price.
The car still wears all original paint with some cool patina, and nice options like factory air conditioning, power seat, wonderbarradio(Buick’s version), power steering, brakes, and tinted glass. It was also ordered with rare tri-color paint ADB-1 (A- Carlsbad Black upper, D- Windsor Grey center, and B- Dover White lower with Red Wheels). Must have been a really sharp car when new. The odometer reads 90K, and I assume it’s not rolled over (not that it really matters).
The car is pretty much rust free, however the front floor needs a small patch, and repair to the transmission tunnel (not quite sure what happened there, but it appears to have been opened like a soup can (still restorable).
There are a few small dents around the car, and the hood has the usual damage from being closed w/o lubricating the hinges, but it’s straight, and has no rust. The headlight rings are in the trunk. If you want to use the car for parts, there are plenty to harvest (I couldn’t do it).
Please look at all the images; they can explain the overall condition much better than I can. The price is fair for what it has. Email me with any questions you may have… before bidding. I’ll do my best to answer them, but I don’t know the car’s history. It would make a cheap father/son summer project.
The title is clear, however I never put the car in my name. The document goes back about 50 years with the previous title being recorded in 1956. I wanted to keep the original lineage for the next owner.
$500 pay-pal deposit required within 24 hours. I may accept the entire amount, but that depends on the fees associated. The car must be paid for within 7 days, and picked up within 30 days. Car is sold as is where is.
