Buick Wildcat Convertible 1963
1963 Buick Wildcat Description
1963 Buick Wildcat Convertible. This is a running, driving, 1963 Buick Wildcat. It has the original drive-train, and the 401 V8 engine sounds good and runs smoothly. I have a clear Utah title in my name. The Buick was bought new, locally in Utah, by the families's grandmother. She drove it for several years and then gave it to her daughter. The daughter drove it for several years and then gave it to her daughter. The Buick was handed down in the same family until 1988. The Buick was inspected and registered in 1988, when agrandson drove it and it over heated and stopped running. At this point, the Buick was parked and not driven until I purchased it in 2017. I trailered the Buick to my home, put in a new battery, disconnected the fuel lines, poured in some gas and, after sitting for 31 years, the Buick started up. I replaced the fuel pump and the brake master cylinder, hooked up a smallauxiliary gas tank, and I able to drive the Buick short distances. The engine sounds good, thepower steering works, and it shifts through the gears. Please look closely at all ofthe photos. I want the new owner to know exactly what they are buying. I highly value my 100% positive feedback score on Ebay, and with this in mind, I will detail both the positive and negative aspects of my 1963 Buick Wildcat. On thepositive side: 1. The Buick is very original, runs and drives, and most of the options work. The power steering is effortless. The original 401 CI V8 has theoriginal four barrel carburetor and it starts easily. The consul mounted tachometer works properly. The lights, and horn operate. 2. All the glass is in very good condition. All four windows roll up and down and there are not cracks or delaminating. 3. The body aligns properly. The doors, hood, and trunk open and close properly. I have a full set of keys.4. The power top is complete and is not stuck or rusted. 5. For a car that is 55 years old, it is in very complete and will be an easy restoration. 6. The floors have no rust holes or rust problems. It still has the original carpets, and most of the original white leather seats are in useable condition. Only the driver's seat has seams that are split. 7. The Buick has the owner's manual, convertible top operations manual, and a 1963 Buick sales brochure that come with the car. On the down side: 1. The convertible top is missing. All of the power top parts are in place and move freely, but the power top motor is not operational. The convertible tophydraulic parts are available. 2. There is a dent on the passenger's side lower door and passenger's side lower body panel. Please look closely at the photos. This is an easy repair. Also, there is a small rust problem in both lower rear fenders. Again, these are not serious and should not require panel replacements. Any body man can easily fix these areas. The floors are dry, along with the trunk floor. There is surface rust, but no holes. 3. The original interior is in place and in good condition for a 55 year old car. The only serious interior issue is the driver's seat. Please check the photos. The tires are old. It has a spare tire and theoriginal jack is in the trunk. 4. The paint is worn and the car needs a paint job. I cleaned and waxed the passenger's side of the hood, and you can see the quality of the paint is worn.
