1970 Buick Electra Convertible Custom, Hotrod Mercury
1970 Buick Electra Description
Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. Up for auction I have an extremely sharp 1970 Buick Electra convertible. If you don't like talking to people this is not the car for you. Previous 40+ year owner said this build was started in 1977. He enjoyed it for many years, drove it on and off. He had it repainted approximately 15 years ago. Paint has a lot of depth, straight body. It does have a few chips and pimples; left quarter picture has small amount of very light speckles. Convertible top is very nice, unstained with '36 Ford back window. Top is approximately 7 years old. Top motor and hoses were replaced at that time. Interior done years ago, still looks very sharp, new rugs. Buick has 455 with 400 trans. Runs very well. This Buick has a set of mellow pipes that would put a smile on any sheriff's face. This car for the most part wasn't used much in the last 15 years. Floors are nice, has had rear body mounts replaced, this is a very common issue with this era of Buicks. Here is a list of work done recently: rebuild carb, complete tuneup, fuel pump, timing chain, water pump, all hoses, 1 wire alternator, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, battery and wide white radial tires.

The AC needs work, could use a set of new door rubbers. Rear windows need help up. P.seat inop, gas gauge erratic.
I took this car to a non-judged car show last week. 500 cars were there. If it was the 70's I could have made a small fortune selling film. 90 degree day, good in traffic. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I would prefer phone calls rather than email. Phone -570-342-1711. You or your agent are welcome to come and inspect car before the auction ends. I reserve the right to end auction early as the vehicle is for sale locally.$1,000 deposit due within 48 hours, balance due in 7 days. Title and car do not leave until funds are cleared. Thanks, Tom
