MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present a very clean and well presented 1955 Buick Roadmaster Riviera Coupe. Buick traditionally occupied an enviable position within the GM hierarchy by selling prestigious, well equipped, and profitable mid-to-upper level cars. The Roadmaster was key to Buick’s stunning success and delivered Buicks outstanding combination of engineering performance and styling.

The Roadmaster was completely redesigned for 1954 and shared its new full-size, C-Body architecture with Buicks Super line. A new X-braced frame and smooth torque-tube drive were other features of the Roadmaster, which was available along a focused three-model line including a four-door Sedan, Convertible Coupe, and two-door Hardtop Coupe body styles.

Finished in a beautiful “Stafford Blue” this coupe shows extremely well while the contrasting “Dover White” lower body and rooftop are in excellent condition and display well. All the trim is present, complete and displays brilliantly. The front and rear chrome bumpers fit is tight and the finish shows well. This example also come with the desirable and period correct “Continental” spare tire kit! The newer weather-stripping is pliable, with very little or no signs of wear.

Inside, the recent restored blue with beige vinyl front and rear seats show well, with little or no wear noticeable. The dash does show some wear, but overall is in overall good condition. The matching door panels, carpet and dashboard are a contrasting compliment to the striking blue exterior of the car and look great with minor wear. All the gauges have the correct appearance and function as originally designed, however, the wind shield wipers are inoperable. The original equipped Buick steering wheel is in very good original condition, however, the horn is inoperable. The original equipment Buick Selectronic radio functions as designed, too. The padded grey cloth headliner is in great condition.

This nicely presented Roadmaster comes equipped with a Carter 4-barrel carburetor on a 236hp 322 cid “Nailhead” V8 engine, mated to a recently serviced 2-speed variable-pitch Dynaflow automatic transmission, dual exhaust, power steering and power drum brakes. The wheels are 15-inch original Buick steels covered by full “Buick” crested hub caps with wide whitewall tires.

Throughout it’s long and rich history, Buick has been synonymous with prestige, style, advanced engineering, and good value. In particular, the Roadmaster series topped the Buick model line and clearly signified its owners upward mobility to the rest of the world! GET OUT AND DRIVE!

Current mileage on the odometer shows 68,260 miles, it is sold as is with a mileage exempt title.
