The Gran Sport came equipped with power-assisted 12″ finned aluminum drum brakes from the factory, as well as power steering. A reconditioned Delco master cylinder was installed during the February service, at which point the wheel cylinders were rebuilt and the wheel bearings were repacked.
In factory trim, the 425ci Super Wildcat V8 came equipped with a pair of 4-barrel 600CFM Carter carburetors and a 10.25:1 compression ratio. Factory-rated output was 360 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.
