1965 Buick Riviera standard Description

This is a very original un-restored car. Very solid. 1965 Riviera. Rare and top 10collectible.
Only having to sale because I ran out of room. I do not want this car outside waiting on me to restore it.
Car now not able to be in my garage.
Up for sale again due to person from Florida who purchased the car was a scam. Not real and tried to scam me. Sorry for those who were interested and we were talking. It's up again and I want it to go to the proper person.
This car is very, very solid. Very hard to find an original 1965 that is this good for restoration.
Better to find one like this and restore so you know what you have. I am proof of that with the one I just restored.
This care has no major issues anyplace.
If you know 1965 Riv's you know they are hard to find in this original condition.Your talking about a car that could be restored in a very short window of time. No major rust issues, no major accident issues, all areas you have to watch for on these are super solid.I tried to take Pics of areas most this cars rust out. I have more if you wish to see them. I try to show everything I can and be totally honest.

Needs:
  • very small repair to lower rear quarters from water sitting in them for 20+ years while in storage, only a small amount but it's there on flat panel bottom, (corners, insides, wheel openings all great shape with no rust)
  • little repair behind passenger rear seat on floor (not the foot floor area). again water was sitting in that area for over 20 years while stored. (ver, very easy fixes) all floor pans great shape with no rust. Just this behind the seat passenger side small area.
  • Front window. can buy new. they are available
  • Couple exterior moldings, i may have in spare parts. What I do have in spare parts I am willing to give to you if Buy it now is met.
  • interior needs redone. Good seat frames etc. needs covers and foam are replaced. can buy. they are available . Not expensive.
  • bumpers good shape but will needs a few dents removed, small straightening and re chrome. Bumper boys will swop for under $650 the set. Very easy and not expensive. Est to repair and rechrome by high line plating under $1000
  • motor rebuild Est cost $900-$1500 pending how far you wish to go.
  • small body work on dent in front fender driver side. small other dents here and there. Very easy fixes. Also obvious blocking, paint removal, small dent repair hear and there. easy.
  • Hood has dents from?. Out dents. Not in dents. Easy fix for body work guys. but will take more than anything else on the car to repair. not hail damage but similar.
  • seal, rubbers need replaced.
Good things:
  • original, unmolested. You know what your getting. Lacquer paint still on the car. flaking, cracking but shows originality.
  • No rust in body panels, rockers, underside mounts, trunk, you name it. Very solid car. other than what I listed above only from sitting with water in those areas. surface on everything else.
  • Wheel openings have no rust, just surface, great shape, still has the seals and rubbers on the rock covers. Amazing
  • all rockers solid, trunk floor solid, rear sheet metal seam great shape, mounts and all braces great shape, quarters great shape, doors great shape, fenders great shape
  • bumpers good shape. Nothing major here. Just typical re chrome work, dent repair, straighten etc.
  • all wires look great
  • firewall, inter fenders, engine bay looks very good. Original.
  • hood latch still has gold original chromium on it. Dead giveaway car is low mile original.
  • you know what your getting here with no surprises.
  • most everything is still with car, car is missing very little. what is missing happened over the year.
I just restored a 1965 Riviera so I have some parts leftover. Rims, mags, few smaller items. I also know those who have whatever you would need if you wished to upgrade, get better options etc.
If buy it now price is met I will give you any parts I may have that could help purchaser of this car. Examples: some exterior trim pieces, hoods, fenders, mag rims, etc. or other smaller items I may have. Not spare motor without further agreement.
(I have good running 401 motor and trans from another car but not part of this sale) Could let go if we come to an agreement. Ran when pulled 3 years ago.
I understand these 1965 Rivieras well. I am in the Riviera club of america.I listed every flaw I could so you can buy with confidence.
