1956 Buick Special 77k miles ORIGINAL Runs & Drives, Solid Car, Needs Brake Work
1956 Buick Special Description
I purchased this car at an estate sale where the family had 30+ cars in storage for 25+ years. I got it running after doing some work that included spark plugs and wires, new battery, ignition coil, hoses, water pump, belts, and more. This car seems to be all original, includingthe interior.
The car NEEDS BRAKE WORK. Around the lot, this car runs, drives and stops, but is not road worthy until brake work is done. I also wouldn't drive on the current (30+ year old) tires! New tires are needed. Small chip in windshield (I tried to show in photo). Minor dings, chrome pitting, scratches (see one on passenger side of metal dash) and an interior that needs a thorough cleaning. I tried to show condition of all in photos.
Please understand that I’m not a mechanic, nor a body/detail guy, so you’re getting a description from a layman in layman terms. Also, I’m not a professional photographer (I took all photos with my iPhone) but let me know if you need to see something better or something else not shown and I’ll try to get a clean shot of it.
I bought another car and need the garage spot; otherwise I would have done the brake work and either kept it or put it up for sale at a much higher buy-it-now price.
It's a solid car for finishing into a nice cruiser.
If you are local (I’m located about 40 minutes south of Lancaster, PA), you are more than welcome to come see the car in person (BEFORE you offer/buy, please). I do reserve the right to end the auction early if I sell the car locally.
The car is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty or guarantee or return.
I would be happy to assist your shipper to help ship this car anywhere in the world (I know how much these cars are loved outside the U.S.) but in all cases, funds must clear my bank before I will let the car and title leave my possession. The arrangements and costs for shipping are the responsibility of the buyer. If you plan to offer/buy, please have your money in order - I do not offer financing/payments. Please don’t try to obtain financing afterwards, and please don’t offer a trade.
Please offer/buy only if you intend to complete the purchase. $500 paypal deposit due upon winning bid, and balance due (cash, wire, or certified check) within 7 days - funds must clear before car/title ships/leaves.
