1990 Buick Reatta Convertible 26K Miles
1990 Buick Reatta CONVERTIBLE Description
This gorgeous car is truly a head turner. Wherever we go people stop us and ask what kind of car it is and are absolutely astonished when they find out it is a 1990 as it really looks new. Only 26,600 original miles!! The car has always been garaged and is only driven in the sun, back and forth to the golf course ( trunk is surprisingly roomy) and California road trips.
- This is a 2 owner car and comes wit the original owners manual (minus the pen and custom plaque as the original owner kept them) 2 car keys with remote fobs, a brand new original factory set of floor mats, a second stereo unit (original factory used) as well as a hard to come by original windshield ( we paid 1,700 for this). It includes the 16 way power seats. This is the nicest Reatta we have seen, and are moving and can not take it with us. We have owned 2 identical cars and love this convertible.
- Only 2,132 Reatta Convertibles were ever made.Assembly at the Reatta Craft Center was performed at a series of stations each with a specialized team of workers, rather than on a conventionalassembly line. After a team had completed their portion of the assembly, the car would be moved by robots to the next station. Paintwork was performed on site under subcontract toPPG industries.
- Buick introduced the convertibleReatta in 1990 with a manually-operated top designed by ASCavailable in vinyl or cloth with a glass rear window and electric defroster. When retracted, the top was protected by a rigidtonneaucover. The 1991 models featured power pull-down motors to assist in tightening the rear bow of the top to the tonneau cover.
- Each Reatta included a leather book containing the owner's manual and pen. In 1990 and 1991, a zippered owners folio was included holding the owners manual, pen, flashlight, tire gauge as well as a "Craftsman's Log" with the signatures of the supervisors for the car's assembly.
The Reatta used GM'stransverse Buick 3800 V6with 165–170hp (123–127kW) and 210–220lb·ft (285–298N·m) oftorque. The car sported a fully independent suspension, 4 wheel disc brakeswith ABS, andfront wheel driveTop speed was electronically limited to 125mph (201km/h). The Reatta was rated at 18mpg (13.1L/100km) in the city and 27mpg (8.7L/100km) on the highway. The Reatta featured twin bucket seats with a storage area behind the seats featuring two lockable binsand a lockable access hatch to the rear trunk. At introduction, options included 16-way power seats in lieu of 6-way power seats, side moldings in either black or body color and pinstripe delete.
In 1990, the interior was redesigned, adding a driver's airbag and an optional CDplayer.
