1968 Buick Electra 225 Convertible, Low Miles,
1968 Buick Electra Description
Listing for a friend.Rare find. Iowa car. Believed to be actual miles, 77k, Believed to be original interior. Top may have been replaced and is in good operational condition. The current owner purchased the car almost 20 years ago from a family member who lived in southern IA. It's never been driven in the winter and has been garage kept. It has been only driven on sunny days or used for parades.
Since the seller purchased the car he has had the engine completely rebuilt approx. 20k miles ago. The fuel tank was cooked and sealed. The brakes were redone on all four wheels and new tires. The car was professionally repainted around 3 years ago by Vescio's Customizing and restoration in Rogers MN. The car was painted the original color but pearl was added for a subtle effect in the sunlight.
The car is a nice turn key driver. The power top works like new as do the power windows. The A/C system is mostly intact but not operational. The windshield wipers wouldn't work the last time the car was driven and haven't been repaired. The carpet has small discoloration behind the drivers seat believed to be from jumper cables being set there. The factory chrome wheels have some corrosion in the seam but still look presentable.
The dash and gauges are in very nice condition. The factory radio is intact and an aftermarket radio was installed below the dash beside the mechanical gauges for an easy check on engine vitals.
The car goes straight down the road and looks really nice. Works excellent for those beautiful Sunday Afternoon drives. Car is advertised locally so auction may be ended at any time. Feel free to contact me for more pics or video. Thanks for looking.
