This stylish black coupe was purchased by the consignor in the Spring of this year from it's San Diego seller, who had history of it's previous two other California owners. This car is believed to have been sold new here in California and was originally finished in silver with a black interior, factory A/C, electric windows (all working), and power seat.This car recently received, within the last 3 years, very nice body and paintwork on what is largely an original car. Some mild updates include blackening of the bumpers which actually give the car a very cool and sleek sinister look. Exterior cosmetics are very nice and clean overall in it's fantastic black/black color scheme.The car's interior dashboard/facia appears to be largely. The car looks to have been improved at some point with nicely recovered vinyl black seats, matching good black carpets and headliner.Mechanically, the car appears to be in very good original health. It has recently had a tune-up. It's believed original, matching numbers 401cu.in. V-8 bursts easily to life with good oil pressure, no smoke or noises, and a healthy tickover idle, running cool. The automatic gearbox operates correctly and smoothly. Brakes, steering, suspension all seem adequate and up to the mark for a good driver.Overall, this desirable and stylish 1965 Riviera in black with black interior is a very nice looking car overall, having spent all of it's life here in California.
