Selling at "NO RESERVE" 1986 Buick Grand National
Barn Find Stored For 27 years. Just pulled out 11-20-19
Car is a 1 owner car until now. The caroriginated from Florida in 1986 and was brought to Indiana in 1993 and parked there until now. Also is a 1971 Corvette LT1 I have listed on Ebay selling No Reserve that accompanied this Grand National, same owner. Item # 264568112779
Highly Optioned With, Power locks and windows, air-conditioning, sunroof. Still retains the car cell phone and antenna.
The interior is in great conditions with no rips, or blemishes. No odd smells, nomildewor signs of mice damage. Interior is actually mint condition. The dash and gauges are all stock and have no signs of wear or damage.
Exterior of car seems to be all original with no signs of body damage, no hit body retains very sharp body lines, doors shut and close very well and snug. Paint on the car is very good, needs to be buffed and polished. We carefully washed the dirt off but did not do any detail to the paint, that's for the new owner. Again, the paint is very good with no cracks or extreme blemishes.
The plastic bumper fillers behind the bumpers are breaking down and cracked. This is a notorious issue for these Grand Nationals, when we washed the car the plastic in these literally feel of the car. You can buy these replacements and repair easily. Very common blem on all Grand Nationals from 1986 to 1987.
Underside of the car is in fine originalcondition with no frame damage, no alterations oraftermarket manipulations made to car. The only thing not original are the wheels, it actually has a very cool stance on how the car sits with larger wheels on back and smaller tires on front. The car looks sinister the way it sits.
PLEASE NOTE: The car has not been started, the car has not been driven. We did lube and "fogged" the motor and hand turned it over with no issues. Coolant was checked and it was very clean, checked out at -30. Engine is solid with no oil or transmission leaks. NONE!
The car retains its 3.8l V6 Turbo original motor and transmission. 44,326 miles on odometer
The original owner received the car from some GMexecutives in return for a high performance race boat motor he built for them.At the time he was known around the globe for his special marinemotors he built for race teams, movie stars and drug runners whocame to him for high performance motors in boats. I have the docs showing the original salefrom the "Executive Car Program From GM"
This car is a very good candidate for a mild restoration. The car has no rust issues, body panels are great and straight. The paint is truly stunning. It will need a careful exterior paint detail. Black shows the blemishes and there are no major sins here to show or reveal. Bid with confidence, any questions please feel free to call. I have a very good reputation in the car hobby. very confident in the "no reserve" auction process.
