1934 Buick Series 40 Description

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this absolutely stunning 1934 Buick Series 40. This gorgeous vehicle comes in a clean hazel and sand paint job complemented by a spotless tan interior. Powering the Buick is believed to be the original 233 cubic inch 8 cylinder motor mated to a manual transmission. A full restoration is believed to have been completed by the previous owner based on its excellent condition. The Buick was restored with the purpose of taking it on various cruises. To aid the drive-ability the vehicle has an upgraded high speed gear to accommodate todays driving conditions. This immaculate classic comes to us from a private collector who also happened to be a automotive shop instructor. Needless to say he always maintained this classic to the highest standard. During his 5 years of ownership, the vehicle has been from coast to coast and has shown well at various VMCCA automotive shows. Additionally, this vehicle comes with various extra parts and photos of the restoration. So, if you're in the market for a rare piece of automotive history, this is the Buick for you! The Buick Special was an automobile produced by Buick. It was usually Buick's lowest-priced model, starting out as a full-size car in 1936 and returning in 1938 (after a two-year hiatus) as a mid-size. By 1970, Special was no longer offered as a standalone model but the name would later be used for the entry trim on 1975 to 1979 and 1991 to 1996 Century models. The entry level Buick can trace its heritage to the Buick Model 10, a companion to Buick's first car, the Buick Model B. The Model 10 started out as one of the independent brands merged into Buick, called the Janney.
