1956 Buick Roadmaster Convertible Flemings Ultimate Garage
1956 Buick Roadmaster Convertible Description
You are viewing what may be the last, mostly original 1 family owned Buick Roadmaster Convertible left in the world. It was the most expensive Buick you could buy in '56 and they only built 4354 Roadmaster convertibles (572,024 Buicks built '56) which is less than 1% of Buicks total build qualifying it for instant collector car status plus, how many are left ? One family owned (signed affidavit comes with it), purchased by their grandfather an Indiana Judge for 42 years and loved by the family ever since. Mostly original Carlsbad black paint (electronically metered for authenticity see pic) and correct "A" code denoting it was originally a black car from the factory on the cowl tag, it looks pretty amazing. The interior is the optional black and Ivory leather (correct code 730) befitting the Buicks most expensive car in 1956 and looks pretty very nice (see pics). Its not often you find these convertibles in this condition intact including the original chrome and factory undercoated undercarriage. This beautiful roadmaster is super original and not restored which could be enhancing its value. Please keep in mind its a 60 plus year old car, isn't brand new and needs some restoration however, its not priced at NADA value of over $100K either. Its just had a $10,000 mechanical restoration including the engine and transmission have just been resealed. Let us run down the options and standard equipment on whats considered to be a collector car according to Hagerty's and NADA classic car values.
