1953 Buick Roadmaster Description
1953 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon.

1953 was Buicks 50th anniversary year and the year they introduced the Nailhead V8.
670 Estate Wagons were Built in this Final year of the "Woodie". This is the last American car to have Structural Wood. There is said to be 15 known Surviving Roadmaster Estate Wagons from 1953. This is one that is unknown and my guess is that number is a bit larger anyway.
This car has been in a dry, concrete floor barn at an Almond Orchard near Chico CA, parked since 1974. Owner was always planning to restore but time got away. Luckily the car was stored indoors.
The car is very complete, only 2 things known missing. The radiator and the Roadmaster logo in the front grill.
The car is very solid with no rust in doors, body panels, trunk, rockers. The only spot I found was the front passenger floor.
Original floor mat is in great condition.
I have all garnish molding, glass original wood etc.. that is not seen in photos. All hardware is accounted for and included.
This car has its original Drivetrain. The motor was said to have a "bad valve" when parked with just over 120,000 original miles.
This car will need a complete, proper restoration.
I have owned the car for a while and also kept it in dry storage. I recently filed for new title in my name in California. So shipping anywhere in the world is no problem.
I know a local hauler that can deliver to Port Of Oakland/Richmond for $250 and Los Angeles/ Long Beach for $350.
