CONTACT JEFF AT 570 977 0741. Up for sale and your consideration is a nice 1961 Buick Electra 225 convertible with 63958 original miles on it. original miles are documented on title as well. Also documented on the title is prior state where it came from which was Florida. It was purchased in Florida and DRIVEN 1100 miles to Pennsylvania with no issues at all and maintained 17mpg on the highway. This is not a 100 point show car nor is it priced as such. it's a reliable driver that you can put the top down and enjoy the day that you buy it. The combination of Rio Red paint with a white convertible top and white interior is eye pleasing. Code L on the data plate reveals this is the original color. This Buick did not spend it's life in the Arizona desert. There is some evidence of some rust issues being addressed in the past. Again this is an original not restored car. Top is in good condition and rear window is new. Please take the time to look over all 24 photos here. I welcome and encourage the opportunity to show this car in person by appointment to answer any and all questions that a potential buyer may have.
The interior is 100% original and in decent condition. All lights including back up lights work. Power windows and power top work. Power seat actuates but does not move. Wipers, heater, defroster, and aftermarket radio work. Original AM radio goes with the car. There are no cracks in the glass. A factory clock sits atop the dash.
The 401 cu.in. V8 was rebuilt by the previous owner and runs great. Exhaust exits through dual pipes and glass pack mufflers. Power steering and power brakes make it effortless to drive. The car rides on 225/75-15 tires that are in great shape.
The Electra 225 was the top of the line model for Buick in 1961. This is an opportunity for someone to own a rare and desirable convertible at an affordable price. It's not perfect, but can be enjoyed as-is and improved later. It has just been serviced with an oil and filter change, lubrication and tune-up.
