1972 Cadillac DeVille Description

This 1972 Cadillac DeVille is an all original, one owner North Texas car with only 60K original miles. I am listing for a friend who's father bought the car new in 1972 and passed it on to him upon his death. Garage kept its entire life. Have all records for date of purchase to present.

472 CI V8 runs perfectly, full power windows all working, leather interior, hardly any ware.

Original floor mats and carpet great condition. Dash is perfect, no cracks. The original paint is in good condition with no previous body work. This Caddy would make a great daily driver as is or with a little investment could be a show winner.

Repairs:

  • Pulled fuel tank cleane, replaced all rubber fuel lines, new fuel pump
  • Flushed radiator, replaced water pump and thermostat
  • New belts
  • Replaces AC compressor
  • New tires, shocks, and brakesall four corners
  • Replaced alternator and external regulator
  • Transmission flushed, new fluids and filter, shifts like new.
  • V8 Tuned with fresh oil and filter

Need to be addressed:

  • Heater core was bypassed due to possible leak
  • ACis cool but not cold, needs charge and to identify slow refrigerant leak.
  • Headliner over back seat is in great condition but needs to be rethreaded, stitching came undone
  • There is rust under the vinyl top, and on back trunk lid.
  • Radio does not work

Original paint is a 6. As you can see from the photos there are areas that are faded and discolored. The body is solid with the exception of the rust under the vinyl top and the trunk lid. This car would be easy to paint due to the limited amount of body work that would be required. Don't want to paint it? It is a good driver quality now, with just enough patina to give it character.
