1991 Cadillac Brougham d'Elegance Sedan 4-Door Description

You were looking at my loved and cherished 1991 Cadillac Brougham D’Elegance w/the 5.7 (350) V8, the rare factory alarm & the factory cassette/CD player. I bought this car last February 2016 with the intentions of keeping it forever, but…life happens, and I need to part with this and bring my car collection down to a “reasonable” 5.

I bought this car from the original owners son who bought the car new and kept it in 1991…kept it in the garage and drove it very sparingly throughout its life. This is very apparent to anyone who is familiar with these vehicles and knows their usual flaws.

Rust on the bottom of doors ? there is none.

Vinyl top condition? As good as new.

Interior headliner ? Removed & replaced by a well known interior specialist.

Electroluminescent opera lamps ? Work like new.

Front & rear Telltale indicators ? Work like new.

Weatherstripping ? Soft and supple.

Under hood rubber and hoses ? Soft and perfect.

Cruise control ? Functions like new.

R134 air-conditioning ? Just replaced the AC Compressor this week.

Heat ? Works like new.

I realize with this vehicle is I know from looking for them for years that they do not appear in this condition on a daily basis. From behind the wheel you would never realize this is a 26-year-old vehicle. It rides down the road as smooth as it did when it was six months old.

It is stops like it should...smooth and evenly. It turns like a brand new car with even wherever on all four tires. When you’re on the highway it downshifts and up shifts with no hint the transmission is even changing gears.

You are welcome to come and inspect if you were seriously interested and will likely end up buying it if you have been looking for a cleaning unmolested one. I have plenty of additional pictures and video if you do not see what you’re looking for.

If your intentions are anything other than preserving it the way it is please do not tell me. This is a 26-year-old original vehicle. There are millions of them out there riding on 28” wheels, dragging ass like a sick puppy or otherwise butchered. I prefer to leave this one the way it is. Pure 1991 !

What I’ve done since I’ve owned it…

Tinted 35% And 50% On Windshield.

Detailed more than makes any sense.

Viper Remote Start/Alarm

Sony Bluetooth Stereo installed in glove box.

Sub & Amp

Flaw list :

15” Appliance Wire Wheels are showing their age. I have spare wheels that can go with the car if the price is right.

The Power antenna mast has been cut.

The rear fillers are original & showing their age. No way to avoid this. They need to be replaced eventually. This is about $300 from start to finish.

I copied this from another well known Cadillac fanatic…

Very few of the 90-92 Broughams were built with the modernized fuel injected 5.7 Liter engine due to the government mandated "gas guzzler tax" of $1,300 that was placed on all 5.7's. MPG was rated at 15 in town and 22 on the highway. The 90-92 Broughams with the 5.7 AND with the rare d'Elegance leather interior are GOLD in the collector world.

This Cadillac gets so much attention every time I get it out of the garage. Because of it's classic styling most don't realize this body is as new as a 1990. These Broughams were like buying a new classic car back in 1990.

The d'Elegance seating has so much more support and comfort than your non-d'Elegance Broughams. This is the second 'must have' with a Brougham right after the rare 5.7 V8 option.

On Nov-13-17 at 09:58:14 PST, seller added the following information:

I wanna note that prior to me, this was a 1 owner...Tennessee/Southern owned car, which is why it’s rust free. The engine is a new block that was installed @ 164k miles, but the spid code indicates that this beautiful Cadillac was built with an LO5 350.
