Up for sale is my personally owned and numbered Classic 1979 Cadillac “Phaeton” Good Fellas Car silver with a black special edition fabric roof and special Phaeton badging. To begin with this vehicle is an excellent driver and is 1 out of 430 ever built, that runs magnificently and has tremendous power and luxury that will benefit the new owner, as she is ready to start and drive away and impress. This car is being offered as the Highest Bidder wins her, with NO RESERVE! I have owned this vehicle for over 2 years and the previous owner was a New Jersey Collector and Mechanic Shop Owner that maintained the vehicle and did all its maintenance for over 5 years.
The only reason I am selling this Amazing Car and Historic Car is that my storage facility has unfortunately doubled its rate for inside storage with new ownership or otherwise I would continue to drive her as she is still registered and insured. To begin wit, the power train on this vehicle, both, engine with its 7.0 8 cylinder Monster Engine, and transmission work incredibly, and this car runs like the luxury car it was deigned to be with an outstanding suspension, braking system and touring comfort ability at all speeds. The car only has approximately 50,000 original miles which is quite low for a 39 year old car! Almost all accessories and electronics function, on this historic car, including the power seats, wipers, lights exterior and interior, and directionals. What needs attention is the blower motor, the gas gauge is not accurate but does read, and climate control features as the heat works but the ac will need to be addressed. There is a new blower motor included with the auction. The rubber on the car has 50 % tread life left, and the car about 2500 miles ago went through a complete diagnostics and maintenance procedure where all the plugs, oil and brake lines and brake pads and calipers were all installed. All the brake overhaul work will be under warranty for its parts for three years.
As far as the cosmetics go for an almost 40 year old sedan coupe the original Silver Exterior looks amazing with no real dents and very little abrasions on the surface. However there is some surface rust through on the passenger rear lower quarter wheel well approximately 4 inches in diameter on the lower lip but can easily be addressed and abate, and once fixed the car’s exterior will be pristine. The body fillers should also be addressed as there is some mild cracking and new ones could easily be replaced and painted to the silver color. Additionally, the car’s chrome, all around including the front and rear bumpers are in excellent shape and are straight and very shiny and the Phaeton Special edition top is in very good condition with some blemishes and a few very minute tears, maybe three or so, but from a distance they are not noticeable. The front interior of the vehicle, although structurally sound, the leather is full of multiple rips and tears and will need to be reupholstered or replaced. The back interior is in excellent condition with no rips or tears, could use a good cleaning and detail and The carpets are excellent.
The car leaks nothing and rides and performs admirably and will make the new owner proud and can be put into service immediately and needs nothing as a classic driver! Turn the key and drive her away! This car has a clean New Jersey Title. Once the offer or auction has been determined a small Non Refundable deposit can be Paypal for $100.00 within 24 hours of the auction conclusion and the balance needs to be paid by Certified Check, Bank Check, or Bank Wire within Three Days. We reserve the right to end the auction at any time and for any reason and also sell the vehicle locally. Own this Classic Car and have a piece of history and Americana with a NO Reserve auction and at a fraction of its historic price, as some of these have gone in classic auctions for over $15,000!
