From a true Cadillac collector, he had about 10 in his collection. He owned this car 8 years. Each of his cars is taken to his mechanic for a thourough inspection. Whatever it needs to be a safe, reliable driver it gets. We have invoice for a $8,300 service. EXTERIOR: The car is stunning. The 59 Cadillac definitely won the battle of the biggest tailfins. How often do you even see one in person, especially a convertible? The body and... paint was professionally restored at a cost of $10,400. I'm looking down the never ending sides and it is really straight as an arrow. I don't see a ripple, everything fits real nicely, there's no bubbling, no cracking, no scratches, no damage. The white paint is polished out glossy smooth. Jambs are painted and has new weatherstrips. The chrome is mostly original standing next to the car it sparkles. The chrome is not rusted, very solid but freckled. The stainless trim is straight and shiny. The anodized bullets in the grill and tail panel are very nice original, none are broken. The taillight bezels are new chrome. Original hubcaps are in very nice shape, new radial tires. New white convertible top with new weatherstrips. New top motor, pump and rams. The top frame was prepped and painted. INTERIOR: Restored very nicely, looks great in all red. New carpet. Seats and door panels were previously reupholstered. Dash pad was recently upholstered. The chrome really sparkles across the entire dash area- horn ring, knobs, bezels, heater controls etc. This was an air conditioned car from the factory. The controls are there, missing some components under the hood. Vintage Air has the parts needed to make this a working a/c system again. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Engine compartment has been cleaned up and painted very nicely. All the metal is smooth with a satin black finish. It also looks proper and orderly. The ignition was upgraded Pertronix electronics. Hoses, belts, thermostat and coolant were replaced. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a brand new, complete liner kit. Underneath the mat is perfectly clean metal that's been sprayed in red oxide primer. Bottom of trunk lid and jamb is painted smooth and glossy, has new weatherstrip. UNDERSIDE: Looks to be very solid clean metal. Original floors are nice. Underneath has been repainted black. New dual exhaust, shocks and rear springs. Brakes were redone, new hoses and wheel cylinders. Rear end fluid was changed, chassis was lubricated. Power steering gearbox replaced ($1,052).
