This car was thoroughly restored in 2012/2013. The body was taken off and body and chassis were disassembled and bead blasted to show necessary repair areas of which there were many on the body. Engine and transmission were overhauled with all new parts as was the rest of the car. The right hand cylinder head was a faulty casting, leaking water to the outside. I replaced both cylinder heads with almost brand new "war heads" that I got from Steve Passmore in England. Paint, chrome, interior, brakes, front axle, roof etc. etc. - all new at the time. Too many things to mention. Take a look at my website, highlighted below. The car stands like new even now after the time that has passed since the restoration. I have spent $ 115,215.15 on the car, not counting thousands of hours of work. So the restoration is for free!
Lots of restoration pictures are available at: http://www.hilmarschneider.de Click on "Die Autos" then on the drop down menue at Cadillac 1940-7567. Very many of the restoration pictures will be seen in the drop down underneath. This is my old website that hasn't been cared for in a long time, so you might have difficulties opening and closing pictures. Sorry.
The car can be inspected in Berlin, Germany.
The car is registered and can be driven at wish. It will only be sold prepaid or against cash but without German license plates and the local registration papers.
There is, of course, no warranty for an 80 years old automobile. The car will be sold with a valid German registration, the Bill of Sale of the former owner to me and the California title punched "US CUSTOMS 08. 01. 12 HOUSTON".
The buyer will be responsible for shipping arrangements and I'll be glad to help here on the German leg of transport.
