These were actually authorized by Cadillac and could be purchased through the dealers. For more information check yahoo search for "History of the Cadillac Mirage. The numbers built are estimates and range from under 200 to 240 but the 240 would include other body styles of the Mirage by Traditional Coach Works, TD. in Chatsworth, A and if I am not mistaken the 240 is the number for both 1975 an 76.
The Vehicle is mostly in original unrestored condition with a low mileage of 51175 miles, he last Car Run it was in was five years ago but it has been driven some each summer since then and started a few times during the off season each year but has notbeen on any major trips lately. It wasstarted and driven out into the sunlight last week,in the snow butvehicle has never been drivenon the roads in winter (no salt). Two short videos of the car were taken when outside so you can see it in better light, ee it move forward and in reverse and hear it run.You can find the short videos on Facebook, ust search Cadillac Mirage.
Barrett Jackson sold one in 2011 for $38,000+ and one in 2014 for $44,000.Most of the expensive stuff is all here, ash is not cracked, ust needs cleaning and maintenance to get it on the road, nd listing at a low opening bid, o reserve beyond that. It has been stored in a machine shed, o winter driving except for a little drivinglast weekin the yard to make a video, o mice in the interior, o chewed or frayed wiring that I could see. It has the 500 Cubic Inch Enginewith air conditioning. It runs nice and has a good sound.
It is not perfect but it isthe kind I liked to find; one that didn't need much to get it to a number 2 or very close condition, liked to drive my vehicles and liked one rare enough to get noticed at a Car Show. I would put forty or fifty thousand miles on it and sell it usually for pretty close to what my total investment was, he fun didn't cost so much that way. I checked with the current owner and the bed was like it is now when they bought it, looked at it closer the other dayand seriously wonder if it may have been an option, f not an original optionsomeone put some serious effort in putting it in as the inside walls of the bed are molded pieces. The trunk is in the bed of the box, ith room enough for a spare, ome tools etc. Personally I would leave the bed the way it is and put a cover over it, t is wide enough to be handy, arrying sheet rock etc.
