1979 CADILLAC SEVILLE 4 DOOR, 0,500 ORIGINAL MILES, WO OWNER CAR IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH LOTS OF EXTRA PARTS INCLUDED! I bought this from the original owner's Estate on Ebay 2 years ago for $6500.00 in Vancouver Washington and had it shipped to Miami, t was not driven and sat in a garage for almost 4 years before I bought it and it had 47,000 miles. I drive this to work every day and I work close to home so that explains the low miles that it has now (50,500) The car has had one repaint in the original Corinthian silver color and has a silver leather interior. There is a scratch on the left hand side of the trunk that happened when it was shipped to me and a bubble in the paint on the drivers side rear passenger door frame. Vinyl top has the usual little bumps that can be expected on an almost 40year old car. Car is very presentable and I get compliments on it every day! People think it is a show car and are surprised that I drive it every day to work! I only run Brad Penn oil in the car and WIX oil filters, t has been well taken care of.
The 1979 Sevilleis the last year for this style before the car was discontinued and is very hard to find. It was the least produced of the 4 year model run and the best. This car also has the optional powered sunroof that works but the previous owner sealed it and cannot be used unless it is unsealed and Reese Class III factory trailer hitch. Car has a AM/FM Stereo but it is not working currently but the clock in the radio is working, don't use it so I never tried to find out what the problem was. It also has 4 wheel disc brakes, s powered by an Olds 350 engine with Bosch Electronic Fuel Injection which works perfectly. These cars also had the very desirable Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Power steering, ower 4 wheel disc brakes with new Master Cylinder, ower windows and power locks (they work but I pulled the fuse as they would sometimes work by themselves) and Air conditioning (which did work but currently not working as I took the compressor off to replace the intake manifold gaskets) and have not yet reinstalled it. I installed a WS6 Trans Am front sway bar on the car with new stabilizer links (polyurethane) from Energy Suspension and also installed the same links on the rear sway bar, he car handles so much better then a stock Seville. Car also has new Air Shocks on the rear, ll these cars came with air shocks but these are more heavy duty. Tires appeared to be new when I purchased the car and have a lot oflife left.
The car has a new 2 1/2" performance dual exhaust system that consists of 6 total mufflers (three per side) and a crossover pipe that was custom made as I wanted good performance and wanted it to be quiet also. I also purchased two new Thornton W-30 cast iron exhaust manifolds for the engine that the exhaust is run from, here is no longer a catalytic converter on the car. There is almost $1000.00 in parts and labor in the exhaust alone, ustthe new cast iron exhaust manifolds were $350.00! In the pictures you can just see the stainless steelexhaust tips under the bumper.
Car has a new Aluminum Radiator, ew Spark Plugs and Spark Plug Wires, ew Chrome Valve Covers with new gaskets and new Chrome Air Cleaner with new filter and a new alternator. The oil filler tube is new and not small like the original in these cars to clear the air pump (which I removed and trashed). There was an oil leak on the intake manifold so I had to remove the air conditioning compressor to remove the intake and fix the leak. I used the factory Oldssteel sheet valley cover along with new aftermarket intake manifold gaskets (Olds never used them) so it won't happen again.
Car runs very well and has a lot of low end torque, asily keeps up with todays traffic and stops with authority thanks to the 4 wheel disc brakes which were very rare in 1979 on any car. Has a 2:56 rear gear and effortlessly cruises at 75 MPH all day long!
This is my third Seville, y second 1978 Seville was totaled when I was hit by another car and all of those parts come with this car when I sell it, ome of the parts are:
Complete 10 bolt Positraction rear end rotor to rotor with disc brake calipers installed from my 1978 Seville, his alone is worth $1000.00 at any swap meet as it also fits leaf spring cars like the Camaro, irebird, ova etc.
Complete tilt steering column with keys from my 1978 Seville
Complete front left hand and right hand spindles with rotors, alipers, nd backing plates
Both left and right rear leaf springs
Complete spare fuel injection aluminum intake manifold complete with injectors, pecial distributor and other small parts
1978 Pontiac WS6 Trans Am Steering Box that bolts right on the car and sharpens up the steering that I already had plumbed and installed on my 1978 Seville. The air conditioning compressor from the 1978 Seville that works fine and was new years agoSeveral sets of complete Olds accessory brackets and pulleysExtra power antennae from the 1978 SevilleAccessory clock from the 1978 SevilleAll the other parts in boxes that I have go with the car
Complete and rebuilt 1979 403 Oldsmobile Engine, tandard bore, ew rings, ew standard/standard bearings, resh 3 angle valve job and the heads were shaved to raise the compression to 9:5 to 1, ew performance hydraulic cam, ifters, nd springs and the engine was professionally assembled by a engine shop in South Florida. New timing chain and oil pump/pickup. I also have a 1970390HP455 hydraulic cam and lifters that go with the engine.
Engine comes with new Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, ew (not rebuilt) 4 bbl. quadrajet carb, ew alloy performance distributor with wires, ew plugs, ew water pump, ew fuel pump and several sets of pulleys and brackets to make it all work. Engine has less then 50 miles on it and the cam was broken in correctly.Engine ispainted Olds gold and looks show car killer! Engine alone is worth several thousand dollars and is a bolt-in for the 350! This engine was in a 1979 Trans Am that I acquiredand the owner had just spent $7000.00 to have it rebuilt and installed. He then decided to have me build him a 455 Pontiac for his Bandit T/A and Iacquired the engine and monies in the deal to keep for my Seville. I have all receiptsand they go with the car when it is sold.
Everything else that I have for this car and the items I took off my other 1978 Seville are included in the sale, ome are too numerous to mention and I cannot remember them. I also have 4 brand new Sylvania Halogen headlights that I bought for the car and they also go with it when sold, never installed them and they are still in the original boxes.
Bring a truck when you buy the car, will help load the engine with my hoist and all the rest of the items are already in boxes. Car runs and drives very well and is very reliable and can be drivenfrom my home to your home in total confidence.
I have a complete new set of bumper fillers that also go with the car, ll you have to do is paint them and install and installation is easy. My buddy has had them since last September to paint them and they are still not done but they are brand new and they just have to be painted and installed, he fronts are fine on the car and you can save those, ou can see the back is missing a piece as I cracked it off so that he could match the paint, am sorry I did that now!
Any questions, lease call me at 305-310-3866 I will be happy to hold the car at one of my homes once paid for so that you can pick it up when it is convenient for you.
I wanted to keep this the rest of my life as I love these cars and was making improvements a little at a time (exhaust, uspension, he bigger engine was next) but my wife bought me a 2016 Hemi Ram R/T truck for my birthday and Ino longer need this car. Good luck and happy bidding, his is a very good and strong running Seville, have made sure of that!
THIS IS A "NO RESERVE" AUCTION! THE HIGHEST BID WINS THE CAR! Dave
02/19/16I added some pictures of the 403 Olds engine that was just rebuilt that comes with the car, had several emails about this. The engine is stored in my home garage and there is not much room between the shelf and my 1964 Grand Prix but I tried my best. Also there is one picture of the Positraction Rear that is outside my garage that also goes with the car. Any more requests please email me and I will try my best to comply. Dave
