1972 El Camino. A real classic beauty: Butternut yellow/Black stripes/black on cowl induction hood, well kept interiorand overallextensive work done through the years (* see bottom page).
My semi-daily driver in spring/summer/fall here in Coeur d' Alene,Idahoand consistently get compliments and compare old times.
Being conservative, The car is a 8.5+ out of ten. The classic is extremely impressive. Paint shines as new. Interior is black andpretty, well loved and overall, the entire classic is very nice. The bed hasa sprayed-in liner. However, there are imperfections with usage.
The only real imperfection: over the years, since it's last face lift, small bubbles are coming back in a couple areas in the lower chime and light stress crack on drivers quarter. Please, understand, this has had the best of care, but time does go on and so does mother nature. All work has been done through the years, such as engine, trans and paint. Again, paint is excellent and interior is very good shape: Carpet, seat (like new), dash (no cracks), headliner (one small slit), tear in drivers door panel kick panel (usage)

As said, the lower said areas, a good body man can have work done by cutting and pasting with little intrusion to overall paint job and cost, again minimal compared to work already completed.

Also,Two mechanisms needs addressed: tailgate (Stuck, will not open)and outside right door key lock inop. (needs bar to connect lock and key mechanism). Interior door lock is functional.
Engine is a built 350 ci, auto, and too much to list. Yes, engine runs strong, w/headers, high-rise Carter carb and more. Engine and trans/running gear runs as you would expect and as remembered, and loved hearing.

Frontend is completely rebuilt, springs, shocks, upper and lower bushings. Remember the hole-shot spacers over the upper control arm bushings (see picture)? I added those just for old-time sake. The kids have no idea of the concept, but we do :).I also installed a new steering box.

Tires: all very good shape, 70+%. Goodrich T/A's w/all beauty rings and caps. Spare tire andrim brand new. Never hit the road.

Glass: all in good shape, windshield has no imperfections.

Chrome in good shape, except rear bumper is showing it's age, area of chrome flaking. I was going to take it off and re-chrome. I also wanted to replace the front grill. I put a couple of pop rivets to hold to braces. It still looks good, but not best. The car looks very good to excellentoverall and I think you will be very happy of the cars condition and care.

I am simply selling because we will be living on 14 miledirt road, with no shelter and this can not go.

Will help with transport. Can trailer or enjoy on it's own.
