1953 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3100 Description
"Old Blue" must go.
Thank you for your interest.
I don't have the time to restore and would like to see this beautiful pickup go tosomeone who can give it the attention it needs.
I'm selling my 1953 Chevy 3100 Five Window 4 speed on the floor pickup.
It has a 283 V8 with a 12 volt system. It starts right up. Transmission shifts through all gears with NO GRINDING. Brakes stop truck but need work. I have tail gate, but not currenty on the truck. I will be replacing passenger window glass and driver wind shield glass before final purchase. Has a new fuel pump and battery. Has a 4 barrel rochester carb. All gauges seem to work except the speedometer is missing needle. Truck has almost no rust except small quarter size rust hole on the driver side front body near the the lower part of the front fender and surface rust which is common for an old truck. I recently drove it about 30 miles from the place it has been sitting since 2001 to my house. It ran down the highway okay, but was a little rough on the idle and front end needs alignment or balancing. Farmington, NM 87401.
I also have an extra front clip with fenders and hood and an extra bed. The color is orange, but I personally like the patina blue and overall roughness of the truck. I have access to a chevy camaro front suspension if you are interested in updating front end. I have a rear end that is more suitable for the highway.
Please be ready to buy when you click. A non-refundable $500 depositis due at purchase and final payment is due within 7 days via bank wire, cash or certified cashier's check. The lucky winning bidder needs to contact me within 24 hours to make payment arrangements and notify me of transport plans. Winner will be responsible to pick up or arrange transport.
Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask (505) 592-7330.
