1980 Chevrolet Corvette Description
1980 CORVETTE Custom Performance 425HP Engine and 4 Speed Overdrive Transmission. This custom Vette is NOT your typical underpowered L48 350 cid 190hp or L82 350 cid 230 hp.
This custom built Corvette has the following:
425 hp RHS built 350 engine with competition high lift long duration cam (As radical as possible to permit enough vacuum for stock power brakes). Specialized heads. Roller rocker arms. Elderblock intake manifold. Performance Distributor. Headman headers. 2 PSI Ram Air Boost. (2 PSI typical over 100 mph)
Rear transmission cross member to accommodate dual exhaust the full distance from headers to tailpipes (2 1/2" diameter non rust pipes.) (Unlike the stock Corvette that has 1 pipe transitioning to dual exhaust, creating excessive back pressure.) Low resistance mufflers. No Catalytic Converter.
700R4 4 Speed Transmission with lockup converter, (beefed up version to handle 650+hp engine) with transmission temperature gauge to replace stock clock in the instrument cluster. Clock now in the center of steering wheel (hands glow to see at night) Illuminated manual overdrive switch in center console.
Aftermarket front and rear bumpers molded into body of vette with no seams.
No rust on frame, garage kept.
Molded light lenses to reduce drag at high speed.

240 mph speedo to replace stock 85mph speedo.
