1961 Chevrolet C-10 Apache 10 Description

Up for sale my beloved 1961 Chevy Apache 10,,,, o begin with I love this truck,,, his is the last year the Apache 10 and the last year for the torsion bar front suspension which in my opinion is the smoothest riding front end Chevy ever produced for a truck,,, his was my parts runner/rat rod truck with that said rat Rod is a loose terminology The body on this truck is in excellent shape!! as you'll see in the videos and the pictures the rockers and floorboards are remarkable for its age all cab supports to frame and frame mounts have zero rust,,, he bed may have a plywood floor but the bed too is in excellent shape with only two flaws and they are not rust,,,, he frontend has been lowered by the torsion bars 4 inches in the rear has 4 inch drop Springs has new power brakes all the way around and if you're not careful put you through the windshield. The car was converted to power steering and has a 1975 2 Wheel Dr., hevy truck steering gearbox The interior is in nice shape front seat just reupholstered diamond tuck headliner reupholstered,,also heater works excellent all gauges temperature oil pressure alternator vacuum gauge all in working order has a Pro comp tach which I drive off. The speedometer was way off but I just drive by the tach also all turn signals lights blinkers all work I also set this truck up with emergency lights which was not an option in 1961 and I also made the parking lights and headlights work together or vice versa parking lights on no headlights that wasn't a feature in 61 it was either or the engine is a solid running 350 4 bolt main with the fresh RPM cam, PM intake brand-new 650 CFM Edelbrock carburetor brand-new MSD 6A ignition box along with the MSD billet distributor this truck run smooth and starts on the first kick the truck also has a fresh 700r4 that works flawlessly I also added an aftermarket transmission cooler extra capacity with braided transmission lines absolutely no leaks this car drives all day long at 2400 rpm's at 75 miles an hour down the highway in averages around town 15 to 17 miles Per gallon if you drive the light foot overall this is a rock solid truck either a daily driver as it is right now or great canvas for a full restoration either way it's a very solid truck not only solid but a good driver one you could take on the highway I have seen lots of trucks on eBay this year short bed and long beds all either have turbo 350's or truck four speed with the granny gear U barely able to push 60 to 65 on the highway before the engine was all revved out with this truck you have a solid reliable hot Rod truck,which is reliable that will get you many waves and smiles !!! out of all the vehicles I have and hot rods,,,, get the most thumbs up on this truck my dog will be sorry when it's gone good luck to you bidders and just know you're getting a great truck thank you for your time oh also will have links to you tube of truck complete showing inside and out and even under neath fottage from under lift ! here are links to the youtube video will have two more in the morning w/a running and driving segment !
