1970 was a great year for styling in GM's intermediate line, and the Chevelle SS was at the top of that platform. The SS 396 was a relatively inexpensive entry into the muscle car market. This Cranberry Red SS 396ci is fitted with a 4-speed transmission as well as power steering and power disc brakes along with factory air conditioning.

This car came up from Florida several years ago and it was getting a frame off restoration, at the time of final assembly the gentleman doing the restoration had a serious medical condition and could not finish the car. It sat for about 5 years and was purchased and finished up just recently and basically was the interior and a few other items.

You are bidding on what is arguably one of the top five most desired and collectable classic cars today. Up for sale is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, nicely optioned with the 396ci/350hp motor, 4-speed and air cond. This was a Forest Green SS and was professionally changed to Cranberry Red at the time of the frame off restoration, and looks great with the Black stripes.

Mechanical: NOM 396ci/350hp CE block rebuilt, 4-speed trans, power steering and power disc brakes, factory air cond needs a blower motor,12 bolt posi 3:31 rear end with front and rear sway bars, factory exhaust manifolds with new dual exhaust sounds great.

Interior: Black bucket seat interior, GM sport style tilt steering wheel, full factory gauge package all working, tinted glass, carpet, seat covers, headliner, interior looks nice and needs nothing. The factory amradio is not hooked up and there are no speakers.

Exterior: Currently painted Cranberry Red with Black SS stripes, all original sheet metal, working factory cowl hood, Chevelle rides on factory 5 spoke SS wheels on new Firestone Wide Ovals. All the chrome and stainless looks very nice, the paint is newer and there nothing that takes away from the car, and it is better than driver quality and looks great and shines well.
