I found this 1970 Chevy c10 1/2 ton pick up truck in a farm town in wisconsin where the previous owner bought it as a wedding gift to his bride. They had been using it in their local town for parades and just as a fun daily driver here and there. They decided they are going to have some kids and start a family and needed to sell this truck for funds relating to that and a house downpayment. He called me knowing I collect classic cars and trucks and asked if I would buy it. I went to look at it and i was amazed at how well the truck showed and looked. The patina of this truck was to die for! Everything to the writing on the side of the bed to the faded but cleared look of the paint screams this truck should be left original. It really has survived well. I brought the truck home and began to drive it right away. It really ran great when I used it on my country roads here in northeast iowa and it rode and drove like a 70 chevy truck should. The 350 v8 engine runs with no smoke knocks or misses. I drove the truck up to 55 mph area as the video show, very easily and it has a really nice sound. All of the gears shift the way they should. All of the lights, guages, etc all are working as far as I can see. The radio turns on but I could not get any sound to come through. I would recommend cleaning the carb once you get it as it is a little cold blooded. The tires are serivcable and fine for now as a daily driver but not new. Cosmetically, like I said early, the truck has a really eye catching patina look. I elected to leave all of the dings, scuffs, and fading as it really adds character to the truck. I did not see any noticable rust spots on the truck and anywhere I checked it appeared to be steel. there was a small molding missing on the passenger side on fender right behind front tire (easy replacment found on ebay or jimcarter trucks etc) I really pictured and videoed the truck well so you can see what the truck is overall cosmetically so make sure to really study the video as there is a walk around in it. The interior looks good overall. The seat look good. The dash looks very nice. The vynal dash top had a crack in it as pictured. The floors look solid. the underside of the truck looks good with only normal road wear. The windhsiled has a crack in it (easy replacment) and the windows go up and down like they should. the doors had no sag, and The rear tailgate opens and shuts like it should. The truck comes with a clean and clear title matching the vin plates ready for you to register. The license plates and rear view mirror hangers do not go with the truck as they are part of my personal collection. I do not want to overcall this truck or undercall it. let the video and pics tell the story. As everyone has their own idea on what a unrestored classic truck should be, I recommend coming by appointment to check it out or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you before placing a bid. The time to ask questions etc and make sure its the truck for you is before you bid, not after. I require a 500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. If I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, I willa ssume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I can help recommend shippers I have used in the past who have been very reasonable. If you have any questions, call 563 568 5111 or 563 568 1182. thanks and have fun bidding on this very desirable 1/2 ton c10 1970 chevy truck!!
