No expense spared to make this a period/date/casting number correct gasser from the 60's era. This is a very rust free floor and trunk pan car. Never even any surface rust underneath. 80,000 original mile 6 cylinder car to start with from central Georgia. Body freshly painted with Urethane Enamel paint in original white paint code for Nova. Only body repairs done before paint was to replace small rust spots in bottom of front fender, front and back of bottom of doors and top of rear wheel well opening. Photo is included here of the car the day we bought it to show how good condition it was in before we made it better. All new metal welded in all areas and then undercoating on back side of front fenders, inside doors and rear wheel well area so it won't ever happen again. We added front disk brakes for safety but kept it to a gasser as would have been built in the 60's and still have a nice driving street car.
All new gasser front clip by BzRods.com including ceramic tumble polished front axle. Check out their web site to see how this front end is designed to allow these gasser to be fun drivers, not garage queens. Removed heater and wipers etc. from firewall, welded up all holes left and finished for perfectly smooth firewall finish. Powertrane all date/period/casting number correct using a 1965 Corvette 365 horsepower complete engine adding tunnel ram manifold, dual 4 barrel carbs and Joe Hunt HEI Magneto for spark. All original distributor and aluminum intake for this rare Corvette engine goes with car. 1965 aluminum 4 speed transmission with Hurst Competition Plus shifter from the era installed also. I have new headliner material for car but didn't put it in as original in great condition but new one goes with car.
Only thing not finished with car is the tachometer mounted on steering column is original from the 60's and does not work, the speedometer gauge works but I didn't know what gear to put in transmission to get it to read correct miles per hour so it is not hooked up yet but new cable is there hooked up. The hood has been cut for clearance for tunnel ram and painted but it has not been mounted. I have original hinges if you want to go that way or you could use light weight drag race style hinges or just hood pins to be really correct for the day. So hood is included but not mounted. I didn't letter the car up like gassers were back in the day to make sure I didn't put something others may not like but I have a local pin striper/letterer who can hand paint whatever you would want in catchy car name on door, number, sponsor name or ??? on car. Something painted simple I will include in the cost of the car and have him do it for you. Anything extravagant will be extra charge above final auction bid price.
Car starts, runs, drives, shifts, etc. etc. etc. excellent. With the original 350 horsepower high performance hydraulic lifter cam and original I believe to be 11 to 1 compression piston set, the car is not too radical to drive anywhere although gas mileage does suck. These are the smallest holley carbs made so it is not over carbureted. I did not rebuild transmission beacuse I took cover off and looked inside and all looked to be brand new no worn syncros or chipped gears anywhere and it shifts like new. Didn't check rear axle gear ratio but is highway driving gears, not low gear ratio for drag strip.
