1953 Bel Air Convertible 2 owner purchased 1959 NO RESERVE! $1 starting bid.
1953 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description
$1 Starting bidI'm in the process of building a 4200 square foot pole building and I can use the cash. So $1 Starting bid and last high bidder wins. There is no BUY IT NOW and it's NOT for sale locally. I'm confident it will pull what I need.I bought this off of the second owner who purchased it in 1959 and owned it till a couple months ago.
It is all original with the exception of one repaint many years ago. This car is avery solid original car. The original interior is in really good shape with no rips, tears or marks in the seats. The paint is a driver quality paint job with overspray on weatherstripping and other little areas. The few little issuesThe top only goes up and down manually the power does not work to it.Also the top is in need of replacing as backwindow is fogged bad andseam is loose on the bottom. The steering idler arm has play so it does not drive well at high speedsAlso bias ply tires aredry rotted.Radio does not work andantenna missingheater hose underhood is bypassed. So the heat does not workBack windows are not adjusted properly and when top is up looks off. but they do crank up and down no problem. I always leave the windows down.weatherstripping is old.The goodThe paint although driver quality does show really niceThe body and frame are incredibly solid. Even the original cardboard sound deadener is still intake in all the doors. Wehad all interior panels off and there is no rust inside and it looked great. All the glass is in perfect shape. Also has the Autronic eye on top of the dash.Brake lights, headlight, tail lights and turn signals work greatTransmission is the 3 on the tree and shifts flawlessly between gearsThe clutch feels greatBrakes work as they shouldNew fuel tank and pump installed.Engine runs great and does not smoke even after sitting for longer periodsUnderhood looks like newAlso the previous owner states the engine and transmission are original to the car. I could not find numbers anywhere to verify. Did they have numbers stamped on them then? I don't knowAll the chrome is inwonderful shape and condition
As it's been sitting for 30 years we put in a new rear main seal as it was leaking. You will see in the underside photo that the cover is off as wereplaced the seal but is of course back on now. This car although needed a few little things is an incredibleopportunity to get into a 1953 BelAir convertible that has the most desirable color combination that has not been tornapart and changed for a reasonable price.I have clean Ohio title in hand.
The looks, stares and thumbs ups you get in this car is incredible. People just don't see these everyday and they love it. It is the right color combo.
Although this car is from my personal collection I am a dealer so if you live in Ohio I have to collect sales tax and process title for you. If you live out of state you hand me cash or certified funds and I hand you the title. Wire transfer is also ok.There is no dealer fees or any other charges. Last high bid minus $500 paypal deposit is what you need to bring. "Unless Ohio resident as stated above"Any questions please call be during reasonable hours at 330-284-7585Please pay for within 7 days. As long as it's paid for. I can store it as long as you want within reason.
On Sep-30-16 at 05:59:31 PDT, seller added the following information:A lot of people are asking about what I want for it to end the auction. I tried to research prices and I see them sell from 25,000 and I see ones for 35,000 I see restored and custom ones for 50-80k This is why I did NO RESERVE. I'm not sure of the value. TheAuction will determine value. Thelast high bidder will win.
