The Model 90D is a commercial vehicle that was built in Norwood Ohio and is a large 157 inch wheelbase 1.5 ton dual rear wheel stake truck that was owned by Roadway Express and is one of only two 1930's era trucks that can be claimed to be truly owned by the trucking company. This 1933 Chevy stake truck is one of 2 trucks that were purchased by Roadway Express during the 1970's to be used for promotional touring they were used to promote the company's 50th Anniversary Tour and were used across the country. Since that time the truck has underwent a full cab off restoration and has had the frame, body, mechanical parts, and the bed completely restored. The frame has been stripped and refinished, the suspension and brakes have been restored, the body panels were disassembled, re-painted, and put back together with near perfect alignment of all panels. The exterior has been re-finished with a beautiful Slate Blue and Black two part paint that was computer color matched to as close as possible match the original paint color at time of production. The interior was in such good condition that it was left all original and still looks and feels as it was new. This 1933 Chevrolet Stake Truck is powered by the original numbers matching 206.8 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder motor paired with the numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission and the original rear end with 6.17 gear ratio having plenty of power to move this huge truck and its full load.
