1972 Chevrolet Blazer Description

Welcome to my auction! We will be listing many items over the next few days, so please make sure to check my other auctions! List me as one of your favorite sellers to make sure you don't miss any of my items.

I am selling my 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer. This truck was purchased new at Clipper Chevrolet in Covina CA in 1972. This was a high optioned, AC, CST K5. The Blazer was originally in color with interior. At some point in its cared for life, it was painted over in black and had the original interior replaced with a grey velour interior from a mid-80’s Blazer. All the exterior trim was blacked out including the grill. I am guessing the motor swap was done at the same time. The truck was brought to NY in 2004, and I bought it in 2006. The paint was still really nice, but the interior had to go. I removed the interior to discover this was a completely rust free, unrepaired, no metal replaced, perfect floor boards (have pictures) original unrepaired doors. This truck was amazing. At this point I realized it deserved to be brought up to the condition it deserved. I removed the front clip, the complete drivetrain, axels and interior. The motor was replaced with a Built 1967 Camaro 327. The motor was built by Dyson Racing! Bored 60 over, Keith Black pistons, balanced and blue printed, Aluminum Heads, Holly Carb, MSD ignition, all the goodies. The motor was Dynoed @ 340HP at only 4900rpm. Motor was fresh and didn’t want to hurt it. Should be well over 350hp. The MSD is hidden under one of the batteries. The original Camaro exhaust manifolds were sent out to be ported with an abrasive media so the motor would breathe well without having to go with hearers. The goal was to make it look like this blazer was special ordered with a 327 from the factory. Transmission was rebuilt with upgraded internals and stall converter, Transfer case was rebuilt with new bearings and seals. Front and rear diffs, got 4:10 gears and rear had the original posi rebuilt with better clutches. As you can see form the pictures, the entire under carriage was detailed. The body has never been off the frame!! The front brakes were up graded. The interior was replaced with antique white hounds tooth seats. A very high end stereo was installed hidden in the center console box with a remote so the lid doesn’t need to be opened all the time. NO HOLES WERE CUT IN THE TRUCK!!! The radio delete cover (very rare) covers the original factory radio mount. No holes were cut in the perfect body or CST panels for speakers! I hate that! The amplifiers are hidden under the seats. Can be removed with no damage! I have both tops. The hard top is black and in alright condition. I also have a super rare white soft top. (Not available anymore) Please don’t tell me about all what’s wrong with this Blazer (Hounds tooth was never available in the Blazers ect.) This truck is done the way I wanted it. Please keep in mind that this is a super rare rust free truck. Not rust removed, rust free! This truck never had it to remove. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. It has been super reliable. It is stored in a heated and air conditioned garage and I have never put the top back on. What fun is that! All the doors open and close with a nice “thunk”. A truly rust free K5 should have a solid “thunk” to the door, with the top on OR off. These K5 blazers never were available with a big block for a reason. Due to not having a roof, they flex a lot! Too much for the torque of a big block.

Please ask any questions!!! I have all original paper work from 1972, protect-o-plate owners manual, brochure and a stack of receipts and records 2" thick
