1971 Chevrolet C10 Description
Up for sale in our Tampa showroom is a vintage 1971 Chevrolet C-10 Short bed step side. The C/K was Chevrolet and GMCs full size pickup truck line from 1960 until 1999 in the United States from 1965 to 1999; C indicated two wheel drive and K indicated four wheel drive. This classic American work truck has been very nicely restored with a great attention to detail. The power plant for this 1971 Chevrolet C10 is a very strong 350CID V8 that has been bored 60 over for more horsepower and torque. This nice 350 CID V8 is linked to a smooth shifting 3 speed manual transmission often referred to as Three on the Tree. Beautiful exterior color of forest green that is compliment very nicely by the tan seat with black carpet and green interior accents. Engine transmission and interior are all recent restorations that were all completed very period correct for 1971 model year. 1967 was the first year for these second generation C/K pickups offered by General Motors and the focus was to add comfort and convenience items to a vehicle line that had previously been for work purposes alone. Updated styling features for the Second Generation Chevy Pickup trucks came with new body sheet metal that helps fight rust and a pickup box made of double-walled steel. The majority of 10 and 20 series Chevrolet trucks from 1967 to 1972 were built with a coil spring trailing arm rear suspension which greatly improved the ride over traditional leaf springs.
