1960 Chevrolet Sedan Description

This 1960 Chevrolet sedan delivery is the epitome of cool. It's got the right stance, ust the right amount of patina, nd a classic look that will definitely stand out. And if you need a hauler, here are few vehicles as practical as the sedan delivery with its cavernous cargo bay. At this price, t's more eyeball appeal than just about anything else on the market. The 1960 Chevrolets were a home-run in terms of styling, nd the sedan delivery got all the same updates as the rest of the line. There are some vestigial fins out back but they've been tamed a bit, nd the front end is clean and smooth, hich makes it look slick. The light blue paint isn't the car's original color, f course, nd it was probably applied more than a few years ago, o it's got some wear on it, ut somehow it works quite well, ecause nobody expects a car like this to be perfect. It's no rat rod and the sheetmetal is in good condition. Nice chrome bumpers, clean grille, nd those gullwing-style fins out back make for a dramatic hauler that's got a lot more class than your garden-variety pickup truck or station wagon. The interior isn't big on originality, ith a set of bucket seats from a later car and a custom-fabricated center console. However, hat also means that it's comfortable to drive and the most notable features remain, ncluding the dash and steering wheel. You'll note there's a tall Hurst shifter with cue ball knob right there in the middle of everything, nd it's linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox, o this panel truck well and truly hauls. The original gauge pods remain, ne of Chevy's best designs, ut they've been filled with modern Auto Meter gauges along with a Sunpro tach up on top. There is no radio, ut it's pre-wired for one if you'd like to add some more entertainment, ut I'm guessing the guy who built it liked the way the rumbling small block V8 sounded more than he liked his music, nd that's totally understandable. And yes, he cargo bay is truly massive, pholstered in black carpet with tidy vinyl side panels that add a bit of protection. The engine is your traditional 350 cubic inch Chevy crate motor, nd it moves the sedan delivery with ease. It's got a few dress-up parts, performance intake and 4-barrel carburetor, s well as an HEI ignition system upgrade. Inside, here's a mild cam that adds a nice lope to the idle and makes great mid-range torque. Block-hugging headers feed a pair of Flowmaster mufflers underneath, o it sounds suitably racy on the street. The suspension has a modest drop, ust enough to add some attitude but not wreck the ride quality, nd power steering and power front disc brakes were added for safety. The 5-speed manual transmission was recently rebuilt and feeds what appears to be the original rear end, o it's a fantastic highway flyer. 18-inch Boss Motorsport wheels look a bit like traditional Torque Thrusts but the taller profile makes this one look butch, articularly with those wide 245/40/18 front and 255/45/18 rear performance radials.Frankly, e're shocked by how affordable this cool hauler really is. Nicely built, ood equipment, nd with just the right look for any occasion. How can you go wrong? Call today!
