1968 Chevrolet Camaro Description
Real deal cars like this don,t come around to often,this is a real documented 68 L78 camaro with a factory 456 posi rear and all orig documents like window sticker,protecto-plate,dealer invoice,owner and title history from day 1 to verify the orig lo mileage.The car was basically a factory race car with little options as u will see on the window sticker and it was also a very very rare color or cordovan maroon which only 3% of 68 camaros were ordered with(this car was repainted blue over 30 yrs ago and still looks pretty good),The body is very nice and solid and only has rust showing on the very bottom of the rh front fende, i took a magnet over the whole car and only the bottom rh fender of course was a bad spot and the very lower pass quarter must have some filler but other than that it seems rust free,The orig BW coded 456 rear is in the car and the orig trans is out(needing work) the case was welded due to a street racing venture iam guessing but looks like it was used afterward,the eng in the car is a fact MQ coded 68 camaro 375 that is dated 1 week after the cars build date its a (TO505MQ) and the car is a O4D build.Eng has been rebuilt and sounds nasty has about 2,000 miles on it(have receipts),The car was a street racer from new and was one of the fastest cars in the Pittsburgh area in the early days,the orig owner which i spoke with a few monts ago gave me the whole story and history of the car which i will share with the next owner,he painted the entire bottom of the car white in 1969 and u can still see it today,the 3rd owner was a woman and she had disc brakes and pwr steering installed to make it more driveable for her (have receipts also) but i have the old spindles and manual box if u like .The car will come with a nice set of orig kick panels(speakers in orig ones),orig 621 bellhousing(has a racing one on it) orig dated L78 carb,orig valve covers,orig traction bars.orig throttle rod,etc.This is a car that anything u improve on it will only make it worth more$$$$$$$$$the car is running and driving vechicle but has been sitting a few yrs not used and i noticed the throwout bearing makes noise and the aftermarket temp gauge dosent work(i broke it),the car has all its orig glass,both orig t-3 headlamps,all orig sheetmetal,orig radiator with tag,orig air cleaner assy,orig fuel line,and a really really nice orig interior with only the carpet being faded and a small seem seperation on top the driver seat.This car will sell for what i consider cheap for a real documented L78 car with great history,great documentation,a great body,,great interior and lets not forget a real 456 gear car WOW!! Try and find another one under 50 grand u wont!!!! so bid now and bid often cause my reserve is way lower thanks...
