1964 Chevy II Nova rust free project hot rod street rod pro touring resto-mod
1964 Chevrolet Nova 400 Description
This Nova has been recently transplanted from the dry desert of Arizona and is an outstanding project car you can also drive all day just as it is. It is as solid and "rust free" as I have seen and as can be expected from any Arizona, Texas, Nevada or California car. Floors are original and solid. Trunk is original and solid. Door bottoms, jambs and rockers original & solid. Quarters and fenders are solid. The rear wheel opening lips are trimmed for max tire size. Window channels, drip rails and dash all appear good. Save yourself thousands of dollars and all the work involved with body panel replacements. Look at the pics and see, ask questions. I did not do the current body work & primer, but I am told it has been this way for several years. No bubbling, comebacks or signs of shoddy work. It is real straight, gaps are pretty good and it is not far from putting it in the paint of your choice, but to be clear I can not vouch for exactly what lies beneath the primer. I can just say is it looks real good and exudes confidence. The car has been Mini-tubbed and a Ford 9" rearend w/ detroit locker has been installed. The subframes have been tied. Brand new fuel tank installed. Has adjustable air-shocks in rear. A nice running crate 350 SBC street rod motor has been installed with a TH350 transmission & Lokar shifter. I don't know the actual mileage on the motor & trans but it runs real good, turn key, no smoke and just a little minor oil drip hear and there. Flex-a-lite radiator and electric fan keeps the car at a happy 190 degrees. It sounds good with large exhaust pipes & flowmaster mufflers. The car stops on a dime with 4 corner power disc brakes and it has a TCI Line-loc which I have not used. No other power options on the car. A brand new American Autowire wiring kit has been installed front to rear. It is complete and expandable for multiple options, drive trains, and accessories. New chrome bumpers have been installed. the seats are real decent and have been recovered with no tears or rips. Door panels are nice. I have a molded carpet set, sound deadener kit & new headliner comes with. Dash paint, cluster, & steering wheel respectable. Glass is respectable. stainless and trim parts are respectable but not show quality. Lights all work and converted to H4 headlights and LED directionals. No problem to convert back to originals. Temp & oil gauge work. fuel gauge needs correct sending unit. Super fun dependable little car with tons of upside and potential. Perfect driving project you can chip away at or make it a full restoration venture. As for the dent, its about the size of a large hand, popped in about an 1.5" and according to an expert this can easily be straightened out. The inner drop panel is not dented. I hate to let this one go and I had big ideas and wasn't going to sell it. But here's your chance. Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for any shipping. Absolutely NO trades. Will accept cash, wire transfer and certified cashiers check but the car will not be released until funds verified and cleared by both yours & my financial institutions. $500 non-refundable deposit required within 48 hours of purchase agreement. balance of funds due within 7 days of purchase agreement.
