1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Description

This 1969 Chevelle was found in Clearwater Florida purchased from an elderly woman who still drove itdaily. We then shipped it up north to our shop in Connecticut to undergo a complete restoration.Thevehicle was separated from the frame and painstakingly completely restored. Nearly every single Nut, Bolt, and Wire were replaced along with all the following:An all new interior, door handles, window cranks, windows, windshield, convertible top, weatherstriping, dashboard, heater core, Wheels, tires, brakes, new shocks, springs, plus all suspension/steering parts and bushings. It has a 5.7L crate Motor along with a turbo 350 both with approximately 11,000 miles on them. It still has 4 wheel drum brakes (that stop very well), however we do have a front disc brake conversion we can install for an additional charge or include in the sale depending on the price.
The entire frame wasbrought down to bare metal and painted with a special paintable undercoating. The entire body was also brought down to bare metal, luckily only the passenger fender needed to be replaced as there was a previous lower patch so we decided it was better to just buy an aftermarket fender, along withall the floors from the trunk to the firewall were also replaced. We cut the old floors and trunk out back to the original factory welds, then replaced them with full pans and not just partials or patches. The entire car was then prepped andfinished in Dupont Pepper Grey Metallic, with Black metallic stripes, then 5 coats of clear and buffed to analmost mirror like finish.
We then powder coated or painted all trim, bumpers, and any part that would have been chrome or stainlessto achieve the “Blackout” effect and boy what a look it created.
All New wiring harnesses from M&H Electrical were usedexceptfor the main dash harness which was in good shape, a completely new interior including shifter, console, dashboard, steering wheel, trim, gauge cluster, Temp control, headlamp switch, windshield wiper switch, cigarette lighter, Modernized AM/FM Radio with USB, handles, cranks and convertible top were installed. No expense spared on this one.
Finally we outfitted it with a set of 17’ aluminum “SS” style rally wheels purchased from Ground Up Restorations along with all newGood Year tires to set the awesome looking stance on this beauty.
A stock Chevy 350ci with Centerbolt heads, mild cam, HEI, a turbo 350 transmission, and a 10 bolt posi rear power this machinewith more than enough power to lay down rubber and sound nasty.
The car has original Factory Air Conditioning outfitted with a Vintage air condenser make it ice cold on hot days that you want to keep the topup on.
You will be hard pressed to find a nicer 69' convertible with factory air out there, thats for sure.
