1961 Chevrolet C-10 Description

1961 Chevy C10 short bed, step side. 235ci 6 cylinder, 3spd manual, 2WD. Runs, drives, and stops.

Great little truck!! Original, 1 owner farm truck from Central Oregon. If you’re not familiar with Central Oregon, think High Desert. It’s dry. This truck is 95% original & complete, the only thing is the wrong hood (’62 to ’66) and missing headlight bezels. Both of which are easily obtainable. This is a very solid truck, with very little rust. If you know these trucks just take a look in the usual places and you’ll see what I mean. Quite amazing really. It could go either way from a great base to a hotrod, restore to original, or just keep it as it is as a cool daily driver. This truck has not been cut or hacked up in any way, a perfect start to a project.
Everything works, lights, gauges, even the generator charges. The glass is in great condition, no cracks. I also have the original wheels with tires to go with it. Clear CA title and registration all in my name. Yes it 's got some dents and scrapes, it’s a truck used as a truck. All real steel, and nothing that can’t be beat out. WhenI got it, it had been sitting for a number of years butI had no trouble getting it running again and started to freshen it up to a daily driver. It could still use a few things if you want to drive it everyday, but for now it gets around town no problem. I have had it out on the freeway as well, as i just drove it to Pomona swap meet a few days ago here in Southern California. It's good for about 55 max, but what more would you expect?!!!
New:
Brake & Clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder.
Front drums & shoes, also lines & wheel cylinders where needed.
Tie rod ends, rag joint.
Aluminum radiator, water Pump, radiator hoses, thermostat, belt.
Starter solenoid.
Distributor cap, rotor, points, plugs, wires, coil.
Rebuilt carb
Flushed tank, new sender/pickup, hoses, filter.
Oil change – engine, transmission, rear end.
New Battery.
It's located in Corona CA, feel free to come and check it out before bidding. Call/text 214-914-5694 if you want to see it. If you'd like more pictures of specific things just let me know.
Remember, it's a 55 year old truck relatively untouched so exepct that it has it's share of quirks. Nothing major though, it's a far leap from some of the empty shells on here for sale that are missing everything!!!

Happy bidding!!!

*** I'm surprised no one has asked about what little rust there is, so in an order to keep things out in the open, I'll tell you the only spots are: Drivers side lower OUTER fender. Inner is solid. You can see the rust in one of the pics. Drivers floor, very little compared to most trucks that have sat. The bed floor is just plywood siding. The original wood is mostly gone and the steel strips are rotted, but the bed sides and bed ends are solid. Easy to replace these parts. If you want pics I'll glady share. I am not trying to hide anyting here. I still stand by the statement that this is a remarkable truck for its age and what its been through.
