1969 Chevy Chevelle Malibu Project - SS 396 Tribute
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Description
Listed for a non-computer savvy friend.
This Chevelle Malibu SS 396 Tribute project has been in the works for over 15 years. The current owner purchased the car from his cousin whom had been working on it for quite some time, and it explains why there are many NOS GM parts still in their original boxes. The car was in the process of a frame off nut and bolt restoration and actually runs, drives and stops. The complete chassis has been fully restored. The frame was media blasted and most of the the suspension is brand new. All of the body panels have been professionally media blasted as well. New gas tank and new exhaust. The drive line and the underside of the car are complete, including new seam sealer and paint. All that is left is body paint and final assembly. Actual mileage is unknown.
The seats were restored many years ago and put into plastic bags. They are like showroom new. 4 brand new SS wheels still in the boxes come with the car. Many new parts, including NOS parts, come with the car. You get everything to finish the car minus carpet, front inner fenders, tires (comes with the rollers in the pics), and front rear windows. The car has over $28K invested in it, as it sits. Comes with a stack of receipts.
The driveline is a built 454, 4-speed with rear posi. The body is in primer. The underside is already painted.
The seller is selling off all of his classic car projects and parts, and this was his most completed project. The car can be seen in Chester, NH upon scheduling an appointment. I will put any interested individuals directly in touch with the owner.
