1955 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description

1955 Chevy Chevrolet truck NO RESERVE!

Here is a farm fresh 1955 Chevy truck. This was an important year for Chevy as it was the first year for what I believe is the best engine ever built, the smallblock Chevrolet. This truck still retains its original 265 V-8. It had sat for awhile when I purchased it, but I got it running with minimal effort. I did install a new fuel pump, as I thought the gasoline squirting onto the exhaust manifold was probably a bad idea! The truck starts easily, carries good oil pressure, doesn't smoke or make any strange noises, transmission shifts fine, clutch works, etc.. The master cylinder for the brakes is shot from sitting, so the brakes will require some work.

The truck is in typical farm truck condition. Typical dings and dents here and there, but not all beat up. It has minimal rust for a 60 year old vehicle. The driver door does sag quite a bit, and needs some hinge work. And as you can see it has the custom racing seat that any first year V-8 truck should have! The only reason this truck was parked, was because a u-joint went out of the PTO driveshaft, which allowed it to come off and also knock the exhaust off. The exhaust Y-pipe is fine, but has nothing after that, and if you want to use the dump bed, it will need a new PTO driveshaft. Along with this truck, I also picked up a 1956 Chevy Cabover. That truck is also listed and ends 15 minutes before this one. These two would go together pretty well, if you were wanting a COE, as it is missing the drive train, and a lot of parts should interchange. Either way, I offer free loading and free storage for a reasonable amount of time, as long as truck is paid for. This truck does need an new battery, but I have one to use for loading, or equipment to push it on with. My name is Cort, and you can call or text 620-786-5172 with any questions, and please check my feedback from previous vehicles I have sold, as it is 100%. Thank you, and good luck.
