1955 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description

I have decided to sell my 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup. This is the most original 55 3100 I have ever owned. It is missing two hubcaps, otherwise complete. This truck needs restoring, but what you have to work with is a Chevy truck that has never been hit. Never painted. Never altered in any way from stock. All sheetmetal is original. The doors and hood close and fit excellent. I believe the seat cover is original. This truck was owned and maintained by a local mechanic and has been in this area of NC all it's life. The engine is free, the clutch works and isn't stuck. The transmission shifts into all gears, and it rolls freely. I have not tried to start the engine. The originality of this truck is rare to see these days. Even the glovebox liner is original and nice. The original jack and retaining spring are behind the seat as pictured. The tailgate has surface rust, but no dents. The bedsides are straight as well. thankfully, no one has ever welded a metal floor into the bed. It carries the optional tail lights with backup lamps. This truck has the correct patina to make a wonderful ratrod. My original plan was to get it running and driving, but leave the body as is. That will be up to the new owner now. The title is the old large green NC title. I have many of the inspection receipts back into the '60's with the truck. There is typical rust in the lower sections of the body panels, but none in the frame. Please email if you have any questions or need other pictures.
