1962 Chevrolet Impala Bel Air Description

1962 Bubble top that was born a 1962 Impala and had a 61 Roof grafted on by the best in the business, Dennis Hill in NC. Dennis has converted nearly 20 of these cars in his career and this is his latest. I've owned 100's of Real 62 Bel Air sport coupes and still have about 5 or 6 but this is my first conversion. Sure I was skeptical if this job could be done without it being cobbled together, I was very impressed how well the conversion came out and how well everything fits. Dennis not only did the conversion, he also painted the car. The body is super straight and he applied a matte white paint job that will knock your eyes out. The front grille and side trim was all straightened and refinished. New smooth one piece bumpers were installed, there are no unsightly bumper bolts, so the bumpers look awesome. All the glass is in very nice shape as well. Moving to the interior, a complete C.A.R.S inc upholsterykit was installed along with painting the dash finishes up the beautifulinterior. The car already had a great running 350 and 700r4 so it was left alone. A new carb, intake and air cleaner along with other bits were done under the hood. Once brought to our shop, we installed a 4 corner adjustableair suspension with new shocks, we replaced a few worn suspension parts, added drop spindles and a Corvette 13" disc brake kit at all four wheels. To get the deep lip Billet Specialties powdercoated Highboy wheels to fit correctly, we narrowed the axle housing a couple inches and installed new Moser axles and bearings. While all the suspension was removed from the car, we cleaned up the underside, painted the frame, and Lizard Skin'd the undercarriage. A new Fuel tank and sender was installed as well as new dual exhuast. The car has been aligned and cruises down the road like a dream. If you want to draw a crowd at the next cruise in, this car will do it. Any questions,call/text 216-789-1647 Hotrod5864@gmail.com
